The Un-Boxed You Dreaming with GOD

“This is a year, in the Hebrew Calender, of Divine Health, Divine Strength and Supernatural Breakthrough. And God does not want you to remain stuck, confined, by ‘boxes’ that people want to place you in OR maybe YOU placed yourself in. HE wants you to come out of the ‘box’. HE wants you to dream with HIM. God has a dream for your life; there is a God-Dream. No one can kill that God-Dream! Don’t live somebody else’s dream. God has something unique for you! So, dream with HIM and know HE will help you bring it to pass!”

Finding Peace in a Few Minutes

“But I try to steal other moments. Sometimes I get up very early in the morning and enjoy a quiet house and cup of tea before the craziness begins. Other times, I’ll take a quick walk on the beach. You can find peace in a few minutes.”

Looking in a Mirror

“When you look at yourself in a mirror, do you like what you see, or do you judge your body and use the word to tell yourself lies? If you believe that you are not attractive enough, then you believe a lie, and you are using the word against yourself, against the truth.”

We Won’t Ignore Their Cries

“People with mental problems are our neighbors. They are members of our congregations, members of our families; they are everywhere in this country. If we ignore their cries for help, we will be continuing to participate in the anguish from which those cries for help come. A problem of this magnitude will not go away. Because it will not go away, and because of our spiritual commitments, we are compelled to take action.”

A Respiratory System Health Booster in This Time of #CoronaVirus: A Delicious, Simple Anti-Phlegm Tea (Grandma Eunice’s)

Hello, Everyone!

NOTE/UPDATE: Additional Information has been added, since the initial date of this post on NextDoor.com, about the health and nutritional benefits of Peppermint Essential Oil, Lemon Essential Oil and Honey. Also, you may make and drink this tea as a glass of lemonade, as well (not heated). Either way, this beverage is a delicious and powerful health booster to a body’s respiratory system, in this time of Corona Virus/COVID-19, and year-round.

Here’s a tea recipe that my Grandmother Eunice made for us to expel phlegm from our bodies, while we were growing up. This tea is delicious and it works, time and time again. One cup is effective, don’t over do it. Using real lemon and real honey is important for this recipe to help the body expel the phlegm and aid the respiratory system.

The reason I’m sharing this time-tested tea recipe is that this tea will help your body expel phlegm from the body. As you all may know, by now, the Corona virus a.k.a COVID-19 impacts the respiratory system, particularly the lungs. Phlegm is the “Mucus, thicker than normal due to illness or irritation, coughed up from the respiratory tract.”. This tea will help your body expel the phlegm.

Here are the ingredients: 1) approximately 8 ounces of clean, drinkable, heated water, 2) 1 or 2 round, peppermint(s) with peppermint essential oil in it OR a few drops of peppermint essential oil, 3) a teaspoon or tablespoon of real honey, and 4) a slice of a lemon with the lemon peel on the lemon (lemon essential oil is in the peel). This tea is made “to taste”, which for us meant to be made with the least amount of peppermint and the least amount of honey mentioned above first, taste it and add the remaining measure until it taste delicious by the cup. Please, remember to use separate clean spoons if you’re making this for someone else. NOTE” Honey is NOT supposed to be given to children that are less than 1 year old (Google LINK to “At what age can children have honey?”: https://bit.ly/39LgwM5).

PS: In the photos that I’ve included for this post:
1) I’ve displayed empty containers of 2 of the 3 brands of honey I like to use (I only use one brand – no need to mix honey brands or flavors).  The third brand is Blue Ridge Honey Company Wildflower Honey 100% Pure, Raw & Natural
2) I displayed a long, peppermint stick my Mom saved as a souvenir, because I didn’t have any round, flat peppermints on hand for the photo. If you have non-round peppermints you make break them to add a portion of it to your tea. If you have peppermint essential oil that’s even better because it has no sugar nor other ingredients.

Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul,
And all that is [deep] within me, bless His holy name.

Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul,
And do not forget any of His benefits;

Who forgives all your sins,
Who heals all your diseases;

Who redeems your life from the pit,
Who crowns you [lavishly] with loving-kindness and tender mercy;

Who satisfies your years with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the [soaring] eagle.

Don’t Vegetate in Retirement

“I’m still a horse that can run. I may not be able to win the Derby, but what do you do when you retire?
People retire and they vegetate. They go away and they dry up.”

Good Health vs. Age

“I think that age as a number is not nearly as important as health.
You can be in poor health and be pretty miserable at 40 or 50.
If you’re in good health, you can enjoy things into your 80s.”

Treat Your Body Like a Ferrari

“I run like an electric golf cart. Now I look at eating as a way to feed my body and keep me younger.
It’s not about starving your body, but treating your body like a Ferrari.
You don’t put in the crappiest gas you can find.
You use supreme. In the long term, you’ll run clean.”

Treating Yourself Very Good

“I treat myself pretty good. I take lots of vacations, I eat well, I take supplements, I do mercury detox,
I get plenty of sleep, I drink plenty of water and I stay away from drama and stress.”

Organic Versions of the ‘Dirty Dozen’

“Be sure to buy organic versions of the ‘dirty dozen:’
the fruits and vegetables that, when grown conventionally,
are loaded with pesticides and chemicals:
Grapes, apples, lettuce, bell peppers, carrots, nectarines,
peaches, strawberries, pears, kale, and celery.”
~ Suzanne Somers,

Healing On a Public Stage

“Prayer and encouraging words change things. We’re all human. We all go through stuff.
The hardest part about being a celebrity is having to heal on a public stage. That’s the worst.
Imagine going through a scandal, or a divorce, or a death in the family, and running into fans on the street.
Because of where my heart is, my instinct is to put my sadness aside,
and give them a smile or a hug, no matter how bad I’m feeling.
And the appreciation of fans can refuel your spiritual tank in those situations.
But until you’re famous, people don’t realize how difficult that is.”

Creating Wholeness

“I understood, through rehab, things about creating characters.
I understood that creating whole people means knowing where we come from,
how we can make a mistake and how we overcome things to make ourselves stronger.”
~ Samuel L. Jackson,

Fungi: Mostly Ignored

“Fungi are the cause of many outbreaks of disease, but are mostly ignored.
Fungi can cause a number of life threatening diseases …
Many people, scientists among them, are largely unaware.”
~ American Academy of Microbiology – 2007
Because fungal diseases mimic other diseases, fungal diagnoses are delayed.
“Talk to your doctor about the possibility of a fungal infection,
if you’re not getting better.”

It’s Not All About the Fried Chicken & The Biscuits

“I know when you think about the South, you think about fried foods,
but we eat a tremendous amount of vegetables. I have my own garden,
so vegetables have always been a big part of my life.
I love broccoli. I love fresh beets. It’s not all about the fried chicken and the biscuits. ”

Filtering All Those TOXINS

“Every chemical that makes it into your bloodstream –
be it through your lungs, stomach, or skin –
meets up with your liver at some point.
Since your liver is your body’s best defense
when it comes to filtering out all those toxins,
you need to treat it well.”
